I am Kenton. I like stuff and want to brag. Why else would you have a blog?
Really though, this blog is my second attempt at blogging. My first attempt was over 10 years ago and was focused on cooking and food. I didn’t take it seriously and it turned into a raisin before it could be made into wine. I’m not exactly sure where I got the idea to attempt this again. Perhaps it’s since I go on adventures and would like to share beyond the walled garden of Facebook. Maybe I want to project a perfect life free of worry. Whatever the reason, I’m not that skilled at self-reflection, so I’ll just see how it develops.
All your bases are belong to us
During the day I am a software product manager for a large software company. A Google search will probably give you the details if you’re really interested. I live in Northern Arizona with my wife and 2 kids. We used to have a dog, but only his memory lives on with us. He was the original Long Doggy and the inspiration for the name of the site. He will get his own post in the future. And in case you were wondering, he was the best dog ever, confirmed by independent sources.
For fun I like many things. My interests are generally:

- Snowboarding (alpine racing, free carving, free riding, backcountry)
- Stand up paddle boarding
- Cooking and food
- Canyoneering
- Tennis
- Camping and hiking
- Travel
